Job Description
This position is responsible for planning and execution of server technology projects and support at the Company. Â As part of the server operations squad, this position will work closely with peers and internal customers to ensure that service expectations are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in technology projects related to Server technologies.
- Technical resource for Server Operations related Problems.
- Position may specialize in a specific technology area such as Lifecycle Management, Risk Management, Security Management or Data Protection and Recovery.
- The Company’s point of contact for server related questions and company communications.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex server related hardware and software problems using common tools and methodology.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for implemented solutions.
- Promote and Maintain Global network strategy and standards. Work with service providers and vendors to ensure highest level of service.
- Complete customer requests according to agreed Service Level Agreements.
- Follow formal Change Management Process for all changes.
Competencies
- Highly organized and disciplined with appropriate Server technology support experience.
- Good technical knowledge of Microsoft Server OS and associated software components.
- In depth technical knowledge  of the following: Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VMWare, SCCM & SCORCH, Server Monitoring, Backups, Azure, PowerShell, Ansible.
- Self-motivating and competent in problem solving within a System Engineering environment.
- Ability to work effectively within a virtual team environment.
Education & Experience
- Education to Diploma standard or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience in a related system engineering role.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
- Microsoft Certification a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge or experience in Agile Methodologies such as Scrum a distinct advantage.
