Job Description

Our client is looking for a Network Security Engineer / Cloud Architect who will be responsible for managing the cloud infrastructure of the organization. Additionally, responsible to propose the best fit for the organization’s needs and growth. The resource will manage, maintain and monitor performance along with the application of all required all securities measures.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Design cloud environments with a focus on Azure and AWS and demonstrate technical cloud architectural knowledge, playing a vital role in the design of production, staging, QA, and development of cloud infrastructures running in 24×7 environments. Knowledge of Google Cloud is also welcome.
• Strong understanding of cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end-to-end cloud infrastructure, architectures, and designs.
• Exposure to cloud-managed services and microservices like Function as a Service, Containers, and managed databases Develop and implement ways to move apps and workloads to the cloud.
• Exposure to working with ECS and EKS Services.
• Experience setting up load balancers, cloud networks, and virtual servers.
• Very strong experience in setting up and managing VPNs (P2P, H2H and S2S).
• Experience in managing and setting up firewall rules.
• Work closely with business leads and product owners to understand solution requirements and identify architectural patterns.
• Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques, including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
• Work closely with Chief Technology Officer to monitor the company’s cloud privacy
• Understanding complex technical issues and managing them within a fast-paced business environment.
• Strong documentation and critical thinking skills.
• Identifying current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats
• Experience in threat intelligence and threat mitigation management
• Conducting proactive research to analyse security weaknesses and recommend appropriate strategies
• Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner

Academic Background (minimum and preferred requirement; include preferred discipline, if any)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree (added advantage)
• AWS Certified Solution Architect
• Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC)

Working Experience (minimum and preferred requirement)

Pre-requisite (Experience)
• 5+ years’ experience in IT Infrastructure Architecture, focusing on AWS Cloud, server, storage, networking
• Experience in Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud will be a plus
• Experience as a Linux Administrator for (2) years
• In depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu, etc.
