Job Description

Purpose of the Role

The main objectives will include drawing up plans using CAD software, site surveyance, client liaison, writing and analyzing reports, drawing up contracts, and working collaboratively with other stakeholders in the office or on-site to come up with a pleasant landscape and meet customer specifications.

Main Duties

Concept & Design

  • Prepare layered/visual representations of plans in accordance with clients’ specifications using CAD software.
  • Design proposals and present them to clients.
  • Prepare bill of quantities (BOQ).
  • Prepare site plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to assure adherence to final plan.
  • To create the overall look of gardens, parks, and other outdoor areas. Designs should be both pleasing to the eye and functional.

Research & Analysis

  • Analyse environmental reports on land conditions, such as drainage, soil and energy usage.
  • Conduct preliminary studies of site and establish general landscape requirement with clients.
  • Research the various types of plants and materials to be provided in collaboration with the Nursery team.
  • Stay up to date on current practices and landscaping trends by engaging in continued research and education.

Clients Management

  • Meet with concerned parties for approval of projects.
  • Ensure that final project match the clients’ specifications and satisfaction.
  • Select materials based on client desire, budget and climate parameters.
  • Communicate with clients on landscape projects, both written and orally.

Follow Up

  • Monitoring and supervision on work site to ensure compliance to proposed plans.
  • Follow up with clients after completion of a project to ensure satisfaction and maintain a future business contact.
  • Inspect project sites for structural and ground stability to ensure safety in final project and make changes to the existing design as necessary.

Internal Collaboration

  • Liaise with all departments to ensure that the objectives set by the Management are met.
  • Coordinate with all concerned stakeholders to ensure the proposal is completed as planned.
  • Collaborate with local regulatory committees and legal organizations to understand laws about conservation, water use and public safety.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape architecture.
  • Master’s degree would be an advantage.
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar environment.
  • Prior experience in Landscaping is desirable.
