Job Description

Role Overview

The financial Controller duties will include managing accounting records, evaluating and managing financial risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring accuracy of financial information.

Main Responsibilities

  • Developing financial strategy, including risk minimization plans and opportunity forecasting.
  • High-level financial reporting and analysis.
  • Regular budget consolidation.
  • Debt management and collection.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Developing financial reviews and providing investment advice.
  • Working closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analyze findings.
  • Monthly forecasts and budgets including working capital forecasting.
  • Fixed asset and inventory management.
  • Develop departmental analysis/ monitoring and creating opportunities for profit and cash flow improvement.
  • Audit preparation and liaising with group auditors.
  • Engaging in tax affairs
  • Outstanding knowledge and understanding of IFRS compliance.

Qualifications and Education requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or MBA in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • ACCA Qualified.
  • +5 years proven experience in finance management.
  • Good communication and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Critical thinker with excellent time management skills.
